Nikki & Dave’s Peak District wedding took place at Lower Damgate Farm, in the beautiful Derbyshire hills. Situated above the village of Ilam, the views are absolutely stunning.

Talking of stunning, our groom Dave, was looking resplendent in his tweed suit from with sunflower buttonhole  https://www.moss.co.uk/ His ever caring best man, also smart but not upstaging, was frequently by his side, offering wisdom & manly support.

Nikki ands the girls were getting ready in the farm cottage. Her hair styled by Kayleigh Read and make up by http://www.charlotteeden.co.uk/

Lower Damgate Farm is a fantastic location, with many photogenic views and quirky spots. And we must give a shout to the alpacas, who’d made a special effort for their portraits.

The ceremony was held in the main barn, with the golden fairy lights combining well with the lovely sunflower floral displays, created by https://flowerroom.co.uk/   With guests filling the seats, and murmurs of anticipation, the atmosphere was building nicely. Dave and the boys had completed their preparation jobs, and everything was looking grand.

Just a short walk across the farmyard for the bridal party, kindly escorted by the black cat for good luck. Nikki was super gorgeous in her dress and long veil by https://www.blushesbridal.com

Ceremonial procedures, a reading by Dave’s sister, vows, witnesses, a ring apiece and sealed with a big kiss, our couple were duly married – yay!!

Plenty to celebrate outdoors with confetti, abundant drinks & nibbles, group photos, plus appreciative noises from various farm animals (no that’s not the groomsmen btw). And then a surprise performance by https://www.blackpeacockbellydance.com/  – wow. Nikki is a belly dance practitioner and joined in for a professional dance, before a general ‘shake it about’ effort by brave guests.

Back in the barn for a wondrous slap-up banquet, a la Spanish style, with tapas and a delicious paella all done by https://www.greedypigcatering.co.uk/. Speeches were delivered by the 3 male raconteurs, with warm and amusing anecdotes.

Outside for a spot of fresh air walkabout, continued merriment and alpaca feeding (no paella though). Sunset didn’t quite happen, but we weren’t too miffed and other things were on Dave’s mind, as he prepared to join his band on stage, to kick off the evening entertainment. Nikki’s dad, also called Dave, had a guest guitar performance and boy did the boys rock (and roll)!!

Still enough energy for their first dance, Dave & Nikki and the dance floor party carried on grooving into the night.

What an absolute fantastic Peak District wedding day! I loved being your photographer guys and all best wishes for your future times.
